The famous track in upstate New York that operated from 1961 to 1978 was hosted by famous racers such as Sox and Martin, Garlits, “Cha-Cha” Shirley Muldowney, Jungle Jim, Prudhomme, Nicholson, and many others from the golden era of drag racing, competing there on more than one occasion. The local government shut the track down for alleged PCB contamination by using drain oil from the local GE Plant which was donated to keep the dust down.
