Description
Headquartered in Northern California, B&M is named for its founders, Bob Sparr (“the B”) and Mort Schuman (“the M”). In 1961, the B&M Hydrostick became the only patented, 4-speed, automatic racing transmission in history. Based on the popular GM Hydromatic, the B&M Hydrostick allowed racers to manually shift their automatic transmissions. That made it possible to keep the automatic transmission in low gear until the driver decided to upshift.
